La Finquita, is named for the small self-sufficient farms that are predominant throughout the region. A walk through the farm will show you how our food goes from the field to the table. Together we will gather in-season crops that will allow us to create an open book of recipes, awakening your imagination and creativity.
Our traditional breakfast, which is a combination of rice, beans, special sauces, garlic, onions, and diced sweet peppers. In addition, you can try to make handmade corn tortillas, and turnovers filled with plantains, cheese, beans, or beef.
an easy dish that your family will love. Later in the afternoon, we may prepare a hash of diced fresh vegetables and other “secret” ingredients to accompany our coffee, or perhaps some “Patacones” (deep-fried green plantains) or yucca chips with refried beans or pico de gallo. Once we decide on the recipe of choice, we will get right to work.
